  1. Priyanka,

My name is Jessica and found your blog today. This is great. I have been looking for ways to save money. I'm a student at UIC and I'm sure you know how expensive groceries can get in Chicago. My question for you is...how can I lose weight on a college student budget?

  2. Jessica,

Firstly, thankyou for visiting. I'm glad you found us. Yes I am very familiar with the unwanted "upgrade" in grocery prices. There are numerous ways to lose weight on a college student's budget. I follow a healthy diet myself and I succesfully maintain my weight during the school year. Because your question is so vague, which I absolutely love because it gives me an opportunity to continuously blather on, I'll mention the most important tip to follow on a healthy diet. Eat like a toddler. What I mean is to eat frequent meals through out the day. Preferably 2 to 3 hours apart. If you have heard this before than I do not apologize because it is extremely effective. You supply your body with energy it needs every three hours--just enough to get you through those three hours. This salvages your body from storing excess energy (which essentially is fat and glucose) when you consume ludicrous amounts of food in one sitting, and in one meal. Try this for two weeks and tell me how you feel. There is so much more to tell you and I will be addressing other information about weight-loss. Stay tuned. Thankyou for your comment!
